Friends of Jocassee
Founded in 2011, Friends of Jocassee is a community that shares a love for the Jocassee Gorges and a commitment to protect the abundant natural resources of the Blue Ridge escarpment.
Friends of Jocassee hosts seasonal events that give opportunities to enjoy the lake, grow friendships and make a difference.


Our mission is exclusively non-profit, charitable, educational, and environmental.
The mission of Friends of Jocassee, Inc. is to: 1. Serve as a volunteer organization to preserve, protect, and promote the natural and cultural resources of the Jocassee area and the recreational opportunities it provides. 2. Solicit, hold, and expend funds for such purposes. 3. Render assistance as requested by the SC Department of Natural Resources.
